Shoes cut back of my ankle?

I got some new shoes that cut my ankle, and the cuts just keep getting worse and worse. Because i have to work almost everyday. so there's not much i can do about it because i have to where them for work and they are the only pair i can afford. I have tried everything. Multiple bandaids, thick socks and it still cuts them! What do i do?
